Using Thermal Imaging to Increase COVID-19 Compliance & Confidence
Webinar Date: August 6, 2020
Presented by: Key Distribution Partners, LLC

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced businesses, medical practices, and institutions to implement various measures to promote the safety and confidence of their employees, customers, and patients. A key component of these protective measures is monitoring the temperature and adherence to mask wearing policies for any individuals that enter the premises. Enforcement of these procedures however can lead to increased costs and potential exposure of other employees.

Our guest speakers from Key Distribution Partners and CCTV Agent, Inc., explore what technologies are coming to the market to execute and document enforcement of these procedures in a more efficient manner.

During the program, our panel of speakers review low risk, contact free thermal imaging technology that is currently available and discuss how businesses are using this technology to drive adherence and confidence.

Appropriate Use Criteria for Advanced Imaging

Before ordering any advanced imaging for a Medicare patient, the provider must consult a clinical support mechanism (DCSM) and report if the test meets "appropriate use criteria", or not. This webinar is intended to provide you with the information you need to be able to order MRIs, CTs, PET and Nuclear Medical Studies for Medicare patients.
  • Beginning in 2020, an ordering provider of Part B advanced diagnostic imaging must consult AUC through a qualified Clinical Decision Support Mechanism (CDSM).
  • The information must be provided to the furnishing professionals and facilities, because they must report AUC consultation information on their Medicare claims.
  • After January 1, 2020, participation in the AUC program is mandatory however payments will not be impacted until January 1, 2021.
Join Christopher Acevedo, Chief Operating Officer for Acevedo Consulting, as he reviews the AUC regulations and the potential impact on orthopaedic practices.
