Susan Childs, FACMPE

Susan is the Founder of Evolution Healthcare Consulting. She is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Susan helps practices THRIVE.

Her experiences cover Operations, Financial Controls, Staff Accountability and Role Definition, Revenue Cycle, Time of Service and Front Desk, Customer Service, New Practice and Change Management.

Ms. Childs has authored for organizations such as dermatology today, Greenbranch Publishing and the AMA.

Susan is an accomplished national speaker presenting on topical healthcare issues that support compassionate care and the value of the physician and staff. She served with local, state and national MGMA Leadership as ACMPE Forum Rep and Advancement Chair.

Her passions are patient access, staff member pride and accountability, constantly improving the relationship between the patient and physician.

Jeffery L. Thompson

Jeff Thompson is a partner with the Macon, Georgia office of Constangy, Brooks, Smith, and Prophete, LLC. In addition to routinely counseling clients in the areas of employment law and labor relations, Jeff provides management training in preventative measures to avoid litigation. He has defended employers in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board.

Jeff is also Labor Counsel to the Georgia Employers’ Association and a member of the Board of Directors for the Macon Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM). He has been recognized in the publication Best Lawyers in America from 2009-2017, and he has been named by Georgia Trend’s “Legal Elite” as one of the Top 150 Lawyers in Georgia.

Prior to joining Constangy, Jeff clerked for the Honorable James R. Tuten of the Superior Court of Brunswick in the Brunswick, Georgia Judicial Circuit.

Josh Block

Josh graduated from Taylor University in 2003 with a degree in Business Management. Soon after graduating he founded a service company in Muncie, Indiana. From 2003-2011, Josh and his wife Lacey were actively involved in community development within Muncie’s inner city neighborhoods. Rehabilitating homes, starting businesses and initiating a charter school that is thriving to this day are a few accomplishments during this season.

In 2007, Josh joined the family business on the Block Imaging team and began building the Midwest retail business, selling full line refurbished equipment.

In 2011, Josh, Lacey and their two children (Anneliese 7 and Benjamin 5) relocated to Lansing, Michigan. In November of 2011, Josh was named President of Block Imaging International.

While living in Muncie, he and his wife Lacey became deeply involved in community development. To include building a Charter school, that is thriving and successful to this day. They continue to have deep ties to this community despite now living in Lansing, Michigan.

Josh Block is a visionary leader for a successful and thriving family business in the refurbished imaging equipment world. His leadership has found success in an arena where many of the company’s contemporaries have struggled in the current economy. He’s spent the past three and a half years laser focused on building a team that serves customers by creating an experience and relationship that is rarely seen in the industry. From the customers they serve, to their patients and the world at large, the belief that people matter is at the core of his leadership vision.

Josh was named President in November of 2011 of Block Imaging International, after being a Product Specialist in the Midwest territory, selling all makes and models of imaging equipment. Since taking over as President, the company, through his leadership has seen dynamic shifts and the growth of our team.

Miranda Madar

15+ years’ experience in the advertising and marketing industry, working on a broad range of blue-chip clients from AOL to Woolite.  Miranda Madar has led complex brand development projects and award-winning integrated marketing campaigns for multi-million dollar brands, most recently for Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero.  Currently serving as the Director of Marketing for Resurgens Orthopaedics, Miranda launched the company’s Reach For More brand platform and is now spearheading the development of all consumer-facing efforts including the newly designed corporate website, www.resurgens.com.  She is a proud wife, mother of 2 active kids, and a self-proclaimed foodie (who now misses dining out, thanks to her 2 active kids)!  To find out more about Miranda or to get in touch, you can check out her website here: www.mirandamadar.com.

Donna Grindle

Donna Grindle has been in the healthcare IT field for 30 years. After spending her early years in software development, she progressed through various departments, management, and executive positions throughout the 1990s. Donna opened her own consulting firm in 1998 specializing in consulting and technology support for a variety of businesses in the medical industry. As Founder and President of Kardon Compliance, Donna’s extensive experience is focused on developing and maintaining effective privacy and security programs for all kinds of businesses. Sean M. Weiss

Sean M. Weiss is a Partner with DoctorsManagement, LLC and serves as the Vice President of Compliance. Sean brings more than 21-years of real world experience to his presentations, ensuring attendees are well informed and armed with the necessary information to engage in meaningful compliance initiatives. Sean’s focus is in audit appeal defense strategies and assisting medical practices, hospitals and health systems in combating the negative effects of an audit and ensuring due process.

Sean uses his extensive experience and understanding of how the OIG, DoJ and U.S. Attorney’s Office handle these matters to help achieve optimal results for DoctorsManagement clients. Sean has served in positions of significance with some of the nation’s largest and most respected health systems. The strong ties he maintains with members of the House and Senate as well as the Department of Health and Human Services officials helps ensure that client matters are handled appropriately.

Tim Coons

Healthcare strategy, sales and marketing professional with over 17 years of experience delivering services and expertise to hospitals and healthcare customers, leading teams to achievement, and managing Executive expectations. Highlighted professional experience and skills include Enterprise marketing strategy development and implementation, data analysis and planning, and program tracking and reporting. Successfully implemented solutions for Enterprise IT solutions (Population Health), Revenue Cycle, Analytics, Supply Chain, ERP, Consulting, and placement of large medical equipment to both new customers and current customer base. Recent experience working with lean Six Sigma teams for laboratory re-engineering.
